Jan. 10-13 (Thur-Sun)  Arvada, CO Arvada Center’s 19th Colorado Cowboy Poetry Gathering held at 6901 Wadsworth Blvd. This is a “crown jewel” among “What to do during Stock Show”Four days and nights of theater concerts, and Daytime Theme Sessions featuring some of the best in Western Entertainment.  Cowboy Poetry and Music, Yodeling and Songwriters’ Circle.  Our event will also include tributes to the late, great Buck Ramsey.  Buck’s wife, Bette, will join us, as will many of Buck’s best friends.   I’ll be performing in Friday and Saturday Theme Sessions from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, hosting the Saturday Matinee, and performing on the Sunday Matinee.  I’ll be joined by the Cactus Crooners,  Ron Jones on fiddle and Duane Webster on Bass.  We’ll have some good harmony for you too!

  Other theater show performers include Jean Prescott, Yvonne Hollenbeck, Cowboy Celtic, Jill Jones, Andy Hedges, Gary McMahan, Chuck Pyle, Doris Daley, Jon Chandler & theWichitones, Bill Barwick & the  Sons of the Tumbleweed and golly…just too many to name!   Tickets are going fast! Jan 31-Feb 3 (Thu-Sun) Sierra Vista, AZ Cochise Cowboy  Poetry & Music Gathering, This is one of my very favorite events in the country!   I’m thrilled to be going back!!

Other performers include: Joyce Woodson, Jean Prescott, Jay Snider, Tim Nolting,  Andy Hedges, Trails & Rails, Desert Sons, “Sam” De Leeuw, “Buckshot” Dot, Ann Sochet, Rhonda Sterns, Ken Graydon and WAY too many more to mention!    I’ll be involved in their outstanding School Residency program, doing Saturday day sessions, and on the main concert stage!

     I’ll be doing a Second Saturday Family Concert from 1-1:45.

My show is called, “Songs of Ranch Women and Cowgirls.”

Learn about frontier families, rodeo riders, and women ranchers.

Here’s what the nice folks at the museum said…Liz Masterson, nationally-known vocalist, yodeler, guitarist, and cowgirl, was the Western Music Association’s “Female Performer of the Year” in 1998. Join us for a boot-stompin’ good time, and check out the museum’s Women on the Range exhibit at the same time!

 

Spend the Second Saturday of every month at the Colorado History Museum. Each month, we will expand on our Let’s Make History theme with a special family program at 1 p.m. The cost for Second Saturdays is $3 plus admission. Children 12 and under receive free admission to the museum on Saturdays, and members always receive free admission. The Colorado History Museum is located at 1300 Broadway. Buffalo Bill Historical Center.  I’ll be doing school shows, concerts and gathering with some of my best friends!  Line-up to be announced soon!   This event is both educational and fun! www.bbhc.org

 

April 18 (Fri)  Denver, CO Liz (solo) performs for residents at Total Long Term Care

 

May 2 (Fri)   Ft. Collins, CO  “Rodeo, Rope Tricks and Ranch Women” at the Ft. Collins Museum 200 Mathews.  Museum After Hours Concert 5-7 p.m. in the Courtyard  I’ll be joined by my good pal, Vic Anderson of Estes Park.   We’ll each sing lead and harmonize with each other, yodel, strum our guitars, and if we’re lucky, Vic will do some of his world class WHISTLING!    He’ll also handle the Rope Tricks!  We’ll each have our new CDs at this show!!!   In case of rain, this show be in the Lincoln Center!  

 

June 20-21  (Fri-Sat) Clovis, NM  Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival

I’ll be part of the “Sweehearts in Carhartts” with Jean Prescott and Yvonne Hollenbeck!

June 22-27 (Sun-Fri) Grand Targhee, WY Greater Yellowstone Music Camp

Mike and Jan Dowling run one of the BEST music camps in the world!  Learn Swing and Blues Guitar, Fiddle,  Mandolin, Acoustic Bass, Vocals and Jamming in a fun and challenging environment. The setting is in a gorgeous ski resort near Jackson Hole, WY!

After class, we relax in a hot tub amid a blanket of wild flowers.  Staff includes Roger Bellow, Dix Bruce, Randy Sabien, Orville Johnson, Cary Black, John Miller, Jeff Newson and  NEW this year is Suze Spencer Marshall who is one of the best swing guitar teachers!!  She and I will hosting the late nite jams, and she’ll had her harmony expertise to my Vocal class.  This camp is a “life changing” experience and fills up quickly.
